BULLYING

Bullying is a form of abuse!

Being bullied at school, home or online might involve someone pushing you, hitting you, teasing you, talking about you or calling you names. No one has the right to hurt you or make you feel bad, and if you are being bullied you don't have to put up with it, you can talk to someone about it.

These are some ways children and young people have described bullying:

being called names
being teased
being pushed or pulled about
having money and other possessions taken or messed about with
having rumours spread about you
being ignored and left out
being hit, kicked or physically hurt in any way
being threatened or intimidated

REMEMBER: No-one has the right to bully you!

My best Summer

Hi! I'm Rafaela and this is my friend Joana!

Every year I go to the Algarve with my family (my parents, my sister, my brother-in-law and my nephew) for two weeks.

This year my holidays were the best ever, because my friend Joana went with us.

We left home in the last saturday of June and after about four hours of travel, finally we arrived to our destination: Rocha's Beach, Portimão.

In the morning we went to the beach that was near our hotel and in the afternoon we enjoyed the hotel's swimming pool.

The nights were also very cool because Portimão has a very busy and exciting night life.

During these holidays, we met a lot of cool people. We had a great time and we did things that we will never forget.

This summer was the best of all, no doubt !

Grand Canyon Skywalk

If you remember last lesson, we read a text about the Skywalk.

The Skywalk is a Glass Bridge which enables visitors to walk beyond the Canyon walls, surrounded by the Grand Canyon while standing at the edge. It is suspended more than 4,000 feet above the Colorado River on the very edge of the Grand Canyon.

HAPPINESS

Why is happiness so great and mysterious at the same time? Why is it so difficult to achieve?
Some seek it in someone who can make them feel younger; others seek it in the wrong place. They are still some courageous people who think they can achieve it alone but then they realize that they need help. There are still those who can see beyond themselves and continue searching. We are capable to find happiness with someone that we love, everyday we all are capable to feel it in a touch, in a smile, in a simple look.
My eternity friend, happiness, you were, you are, and you shall forever remain my only true friend.

FRIENDSHIP

We are Ana Catarina and Andreia Alves, we are students and we are here talk about friendship. Let’s see what it means!
Friendship is a feeling that should be always in our hearts. It means to trust our best friend and being faithful to him.
To preserve friendship, fidelity and honesty must always be present, because without these concepts we won’t have a real friendship.
A real friend is not the one who says “go ahead”, it is the one who says “I’m going with you”.
Friendship is like health: we just give it real importance when we are losing it!

MARTA

We are going to talk about Marta.

She is a very amusing and different girl, mainly when she does 'those' faces, they are strange and very original.

We have something in common: we love the Tokio Hotel. Marta also adores Harry Potter, who is her favourite actor.

She is great and soft, has got long, curly hair and big eyes.

Once we slept in her house and we can tell you that her room is covered with posters from the "vedettes" that she likes the most. Marta adores jokes and she can imitate very well "Cocas".

All these things make her very special and we also know that we can trust her and that we are always going to have her support. She is a splendid girl! We hope we will never lose her friendship, otherwise it would be heart-breaking.

To finish we would like to leave a message to Marta because we know that she is going to read this:

"Your beauty is very simple: it comes from inside and it is reflected outside!"

Marta we dedicate this work to you, because you are a very special friend for us.

BEST FRIENDS

My name is Noémi and I’m going to do this work with Nádia.
We are best friends and we have everything in common. For example: we like football. Sometimes we go together to the stadium to watch football. We also like tecktonik music, and we love to dance it.



Our favourite food is potato chips with hamburgers and we like to drink coke at the MacDonald’s. We like to sleep together, so that we can talk till late.
The animals are very important in our lives.




We like to watch television and our favourite channel is MTV because it is about music and dance. Other think that we like to do is to take pictures from us and to put them in the computer.
At school we are always together: During the breaks we are always together listening to music and having fun with our class.
We are very obstinate and very proud. We belive this is the main reason why we are best friends.
Sometimes we go for a walk on Sunday and we have lunch together with our parents. So we think we are inseparables.
And of course ... after the school ... we are always together!!!
